Lang, Szeto Earn Academic All-Conference Honors
The NEWMAC recently announced its postseason awards for cross-country and volleyball, and Babson College sophomores Kristen Lang (Kennebunk, Maine) and Jenney Szeto (Boston, Mass.) each represented their respective teams on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. A key member of the women's cross country team, Lang ran in all seven races for the Beavers this fall and ranked third on the squad with an average time of 24:18.8. Szeto played in six matches for the Babson women's volleyball team this fall, finishing with nine digs in six games. [+]

Volleyball Falls To Second-Seeded Wellesley, 3-0, In NEWMAC Quarterfinals
The Babson volleyball team saw its 2007 season come to a close on Tuesday night, as the seventh-seeded Beavers lost to second-seeded Wellesley, 3-0, in the quarterfinals of the NEWMAC Tournament. Junior Amanda Medin and first-year Tina Kaindl each finished with five kills in defeat for Babson, while senior captain Mandi Blackmer contributed 18 assists and 10 digs. [+]

Palau's Double-Double Keys Volleyball's 3-1 Win At WPI
Senior hitter Carlen Palau accounted for game-highs of 18 kills and 15 digs to help Babson secure a NEWMAC Tournament bid by defeating host WPI 3-1 in conference volleyball action on Saturday afternoon. The Beavers took the match by games scores of 30-18, 30-13, 28-30 and 30-19. With the win, Babson improves to 11-11 overall and 3-6 in NEWMAC play. The Beavers, seeded seventh in the NEWMAC Tournament, will face second-seeded Wellesley in a first round match on Tuesday evening. [+]
