BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) recently announced its Division III All-Star Team, and Babson senior back Michele Farley (Skowhegan, Maine) garnered Second Team honors.

The Beavers' top defender and a tri-captain, Farley helped the field hockey team become the first women's squad in school history to begin the season 0-4 and then win their regular season conference title. The Beavers, who finished the year at 14-7, recorded their first-ever sweep (8-0) of the NEWMAC while claiming its second regular season championship in three years.

Already a NEWMAC and NFHCA All-New England East First Team selection, Farley earned All-ECAC Second Team honors after a career year this fall. She started all 21 games on defense and ranked second on the team in scoring with nine goals and seven assists for 25 points - all career highs. She also led the Beavers with three game-winning goals as well as a team-high three defensive saves. She is just the second player in Babson history to earn All-ECAC recognition, joining program legend Elise Conley '06, who received First Team honors back in 2005.
