Men's Tennis Topples Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, 6-3

PUERTO RICO - First-year Austin Conti claimed a win in both singles and doubles play to help the Babson College men's tennis team secure a 6-3 victory over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez during the team's spring break trip on Monday. With their second straight win, the Beavers improved to 3-6 on the year.

Babson held a 2-1 lead after doubles play, thanks to an 8-1 rout by senior co-captains Ben Edick and Walt Sea at number two and an 8-3 victory by Conti and junior Steve Huang at number three. The Beavers then netted straight-set wins in four of the six singles positions, including a 6-0, 6-3 victory by Conti at number five.

Also adding singles wins for Babson were sophomore Alex Kamergorodsky at number one, sophomore Ken Lin at number three, and sophomore Brian Lafayette at number four.
