Men's Tennis Claims 5-4 Victory Over Union At Middlebury Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Babson men's tennis team secured its second victory of the year at Middlebury on Saturday, as the Beavers pulled out a close 5-4 victory over Union (N.Y.) at the Middlebury Invitational. With the non-conference win, the Green and White improved to 2-6 on the season.

Babson took a 2-1 lead in doubles play, as sophomores Alex Kamergorodsky and Brian Lafayette claimed an 8-5 win at number one and senior co-captains Ben Edick and Walt Sea teamed up for an 8-3 victory at number two. The Beavers then clinched the match in singles play, as Edick won at number two, Lafayette cruised at number four, and sophomore Edwin Lee triumphed at number six.

Babson will now take a week off before heading to Puerto Rico for spring break, when they will take on P.R.-Mayaguez and Polytechnic University of P.R.
