BABSON PARK, Mass. - The final postseason awards for men's soccer were recently announced, and Babson junior Tim Winn (Sutton, Mass.), senior Chris Schwartz (Guilford, Conn.), and senior captain Chris Necklas (Guilford, Conn.) all received honors. Winn was named All-New England Second Team by D3Kicks.com and All-New England Third Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), while Necklas and Schwartz received Third Team recognition from both organizations. Having already earned his third All-Conference First Team selection and his second straight NEWMAC Athlete of the Year award, Winn added his third consectiuve All-New England honor to his incredible soccer resume after another fantastic season this fall. He led the league and broke his own single-season program record with 17 goals while also recording three assists for 37 total points - the most in the conference and tied for second most in Babson history. In just his third collegiate season, he moved past Jonah Frisch '04 into first place on the Beavers' all-time scoring list with 42 career goals. He currently has 99 career points - second only to Frisch's 104 on the college's all-time points list. Necklas and Schwartz both earned All-New England recognition for the second straight season. A three-time All-NEWMAC honoree (including two First Team selections), Necklas played all 1887 of Babson's minutes in net this fall, ranking second in the league with 82 saves and 5.0 shutouts and third in the conference with a 1.16 GAA and a .774 save percentage. Schwartz, who garnered his second All-NEWMAC First Team selection this year, started all 20 games in the midfield and ranked fifth on the team with two goals and four assists for eight points.
