An ECAC East All-Rookie selection last winter, Fazekas was one of only two defensemen named to this year's All-Conference First Team. He played in all 26 games for the Beavers, recoring three goals and 13 assists for 16 points while logging only six penalty minutes the entire season.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Babson ice hockey senior co-captain John Geverd recently received one of the region's top honors, as he was named one of 16 semifinalists for the eighth annual Joe Concannon Award, presented each year to the best American-born Division II/III player in New England. Geverd recorded 11 goals and five assists for 16 points this winter, helping the Beavers post a spectacular 17-6-3 record, including a 13-4-2 mark in the ECAC East. The veteran forward also netted a team-high five powerplay goals for the Beavers, who earned a national-ranking in all but one week during the regular season.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[After leading Babson to a win and a tie this past weekend, junior Skylar Nipps was selected as the ECAC East Goaltender of the Week on Monday. Playing all 125 minutes in net for the Beavers, Nipps recorded 45 saves on 49 shots for a stellar 1.92 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. He stopped 17 shots and allowed just one goal in a 1-1 overtime tie with Castleton State on Friday night, and then came back with 28 saves on 31 shots in a 6-3 victory over Skidmore on Saturday. Through 19 games, Nipps has now played all by 37 minutes in net for Babson, going 12-4-3 with a 2.42 GAA and a .902 save percentage.]]></description>
