Providence, RI - The Babson golf team placed fifth at the Johnson and Wales University Spring Invitational on Friday, as the Beavers posted a team score of 319, 14 strokes off the winning pace set by the hosts.

Leading Babson with another strong effort was first-year Bryan Eger, who fired a round of 76 to finish in a tie for sixth place. First-year Matt Foley and senior co-captains Travis Dewire and Rory Doherty all carded matching scores of 81 to tie for 15th overall, while first-year Matt Doherty came in 24th with an 84.
