Sophomore Fernando Pinieres continued his outstanding spring with yet another stellar effort, as he tied Adam Duplisea of Husson with a low round of 72. Duplisea then birdied the first playoff hole to take medalist honors, with Pineres finishing second.          <description><![CDATA[Babson senior captain Travis Dewire (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley HS) received one of the most prestigious honors in New England golf this past weekend, as he was presented with the 2007 Guy Tedesco Award at a banquet held in conjunction with the NEIGA Championships. The award is presented each year to a New England college golfer who has made a significant contribution to college golf in the areas of active participation, exemplary behavior, promotion of the game, leadership and cooperation with others, and sportsmanship. A four-year member of the Babson golf team, Dewire has emerged as one of the top golfers in the region over the last few years. He has shown consistent improvement during each of his four collegiate seasons, and last spring was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Northeast Team.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recently announced its 2006-07 All-Region Teams, and Babson College junior Travis Dewire (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley HS) earned All-New England honors for the first time in his career. Dewire garnered regional honors after a spectacular junior season which saw him post the Beavers' top individual finish in six of the team's nine events while ranking second on the squad in two others. He finished second overall at two tournaments this season - the ECAC New England Championship on October 7-8 and the Western New England College Invitational on April 19. In both showings, he finished just one stroke shy of medalist honors.]]></description>
