Golf Finishes Fifth At Jack Barry Invitational
The Babson golf team competed at the Jack Barry Invitational hosted by MIT on Saturday, where the Beavers placed fifth out of seven squads. Leading Babson was the duo of first-year Bryan Eger and sophomore Fernando Pineres, who both finished in the top 10. Eger shot a round of 76 to place ninth overall, while Pineres was close behind in a tie for tenth with a score of 77. Senior co-captain Rory Doherty shot an 80 to place 20th, and first-year Matt Doherty rounded out the lineup in 31st with a round of 87. [+]

Men's Golf Takes Fifth At Johnson And Wales Spring Invitational
The Babson golf team placed fifth at the Johnson and Wales University Spring Invitational on Friday, as the Beavers posted a team score of 319. Leading Babson with another strong effort was first-year Bryan Eger, who fired a round of 76 to finish in a tie for sixth place. First-year Matt Foley and senior co-captains Travis Dewire and Rory Doherty all carded matching scores of 81 to tie for 15th overall, while first-year Matt Doherty came in 24th with an 84. [+]

Pineres Just Misses Medalist Honors As Golf Finishes Third At WNEC
The Babson golf team posted its second straight third-place finish on Thursday, as the Beavers took third at the 2008 Western New England College Invitational at Veterans Golf Course. Sophomore Fernando Pinieres continued his outstanding spring with yet another stellar effort, as he tied Adam Duplisea of Husson with a low round of 72. Duplisea then birdied the first playoff hole to take medalist honors, with Pineres finishing second. First-year Matt Doherty was also brilliant for the Beavers, recording his second consecutive fifth-place finish with a round of 75. [+]
