WENHAM, Mass. - The Babson cross country teams enjoyed their best performance of the season at the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College on Saturday. Senior captain Claudia Schulz (Weston, Fla.) turned in the second-best race in program history to earn All-Invitational honors for the women, who placed 10th out of 22 teams, while junior co-captain Greg Keshian (North Andover, Mass.) earned All-Invitational status for the men, who took 11th out of 20 squads.

Four members of the women's team set personal bests at the event, highlighted by a historic effort from Schulz. The Beavers' senior captain placed eighth overall with a time of 19:15 - the second fastest time in program history behind only Lydia Halloran's run of 18:55 set back in 2004. Sophomore Kim Luu (Skokie, Ill.) added a career-best performance for Babson, finishing 52nd with a personal record time of 21:25, and sophomore Kristen Lang (Kennebunk, Maine) came in 65th in 21:41. First-year Lauryn Sherman (San Diego, Calif.) cut nearly five full minutes off her previous best with a 92nd-place finish in 22:29, and fellow rookie Larina Kleynerman (Sudbury, Mass.) posted the team's fourth PR of the day in 134th place with a time of 23:57.

Keshian anchored the men's team with a run of 27:55 - good for 15th place overall and a spot on the All-Invitational Team. Senior Pat Socorro (New York, N.Y.) came in 79th in 30:26, and first-year Andrew O'Brien (Wolfeboro, N.H.) followed in 85th place with a time of 30:45.
