Burton, Roche Compete At EISA Championships At Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - First-year Alexis Burton and junior John Roche represented Babson College at the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl on Friday. Burton finished 42nd overall in the slalom event, while Roche came in 43rd.

Burton's combined time of 1:55.05 was just 0.11 seconds shy of 41st place, as the Beavers' rookie turned in solid slalom runs of 56.57 and 58.48 seconds. Roche also skied well in the slalom, turning in runs of 49.29 and 50.91 seconds for a combined time of 1:40.20 - less than a second behind the 42nd place finisher.

Burton will return to action at the EISA Championships tomorrow morning, while Roche will depart to join his teammates at the ECSC Regional Championships at Waterville Valley. It will mark the men's team's fifth appearance at regionals in the last six years.
