Matt Whalen, LAT

Currently in his second year at Babson, Whalen is a 2004 graduate of Bridgewater State College where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training. He is certified by the NATABOC and is licensed in the State of Massachusetts.

While attending Bridgewater State, Whalen was an active member of the Athletic Training club and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Science through a distance learning program at the California University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to Babson, Whalen spent a year as a Resident Assistant Athletic Trainer at Boston College where he was responsible for coverage of women's ice hockey and spring football. He has also worked several summer camps at New England area schools, including Brown, Babson, and Boston College. In addition, Whalen has provided coverage for the New England Pro Am Hockey's Chowder Cup, Junior Chowder Cup, Women's Cup and the Pre-Draft Showcase. He has also provided voluntary medical coverage for the Bay State Games and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
