RULES
Playing time shall be 20 minutes of running time (two halves of 10
minutes). Half-time shall be 5 minutes. The first team ready to play
(5 players present) will receive the referee choice at the beginning
of the game. Clock stops after 30 seconds of ball/injury problems.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Each team should start the game with 5
field players and 1 goalie, with a minimum of 5 total players
(1 goalie & 4 field players) needed to avoid a forfeit. A player
may play on only one team per sport.

PLAYERS WITH THE BALL:
     * dribble or pass/shoot within 3 seconds
     * you may take 1-3 steps without dribbling
     * no dribble-stop-dribble
     * no kicking

TIME-OUTS: Each team is permitted one time-out per half.

OT: 1-minute break...coin toss for possession...
first goal wins (shots after 5 minutes)

EQUIPMENT: Tennis shoes/sneakers are required.

SUBSTITUTIONS: on the fly

OFFSIDES: There is not an offsides penalty in intramural games.

GOALKEEPERS:
     * no leaving the goal area with the ball
     * no entering the goal area with the ball   
     * only goalie allowed inside goal area

PENALTIES:        
Free-Throw -> minor foul (spot foul)
Penalty Shot ->  foul destroys a clear chance to score a goal or
the goalie carries the ball back into the goalie area.

* All players assume their own risk with IM participation.
* Arguing with officials will not be tolerated.
